Lighting Requirements

Pinstripe Pachyseris does best in medium light, around 150-250 PAR. Although adaptable to other light conditions, gradual acclimation to these light levels is recommended to avoid stress. For those with mixed reef tanks, a PAR meter is invaluable for fine-tuning light levels across different corals, helping ensure each coral gets the right intensity for its needs. This careful setup supports the coral’s vibrant color and long-term health.

Ideal Tank Placement

Place Pachyseris directly on rockwork where it will be exposed to the right amount of light and flow. In most cases, this will be somewhere in the mid-level of the aquarium.

Water Flow Requirements

Moderate water flow is ideal. You want to ensure enough flow that debris doesn't settle on the coral. 

Aggressiveness and Compatibility

The Pinstripe Pachyseris is rather peaceful towards it's neighbors. Like most other corals, it doesn't like touching its neighbors, so just make sure to give it a little space.

Feeding and Nutrition

The Pinstripe Pachyseris relies primarily on photosynthesis and doesn't show a noticeable feeding response as other corals often do. For that reason, coral foods aren't typically used for supplemental feeding, but Amino Acids like CoralAmino can enhance its growth and coloration.
