While it can handle slightly higher light, it's best to acclimate it gradually to avoid stress. For those with mixed reef tanks, a PAR meter is invaluable for fine-tuning light levels across different corals, helping ensure each coral gets the right intensity for its needs. This careful setup supports the Hologram Chalice’s vibrant color and long-term health.

Ideal Tank Placement

Position the Hologram Chalice low in the rockwork, where it’s in a lower light area. This setup allows it to get the light and flow it needs without any harsh exposure, letting it grow and spread naturally. Place it in an area where it has some room to grow and encrust.

Water Flow Requirements

Moderate water flow is ideal. Aim for movement that’s enough to gently shift the coral’s polyps without blasting it directly, as this helps with nutrient flow and keeps debris from collecting on the surface.

Aggressiveness and Compatibility

It's important to give chalice corals room to grow. At night, they will often extend sweeper tentacles which help the coral feed and compete for space. Placing other corals too close could result in them being stung and irritated.
