Unfortunately the MP20 has been discontinued for some time now and the Vortech pumps have gone through a few generations. I would suspect these would probably not be compatible. You could reach out to Ecotech for confirmation on that,and they may have other assistance they can offer.

Is the MP40wQD wet side backward compatible with all older MP40s? I am not sure which model I have.

Great question! They are absolutely compatible! You can use the newer style Wetside with the older Vortech MP40es and MP40wES. :-)

So if I just recently bought a used pair of mp40's, I could buy a new pair of qd wetsides for them and they will work with it without having to get the new qd driver upgrade?
