Aquarium safety should be a concern to any aquarist. With proper drip loops a lot of the risk can be managed, but we always like having a couple backup devices keeping our tank and most importantly our homes safe from any emergencies. We highly recommend having a Halotron 1 filled fire extinguisher around the tank too, though they are not cheap the Halotron 1 gas does not leave any nasty residue or fill the air with CO2.
