What size screw should i use to install?

A #8 screw works very well or screws the same diameter of traditional drywall or deck screws. The distance will vary depending on the surface you need to mount the clamp to, but a screw with a shaft around 0.125" should work very well.

Does the size of the clamp refer to the I.D. or O.D. of the pvc pipe? i.e. to mount 1" pipe use 1 " clamp... Thank you.

Thanks for the question! These will match up with their respective pipe sizes, for example you will need a 1" clamp to mount a 1" pipe. :-)

Will the 2" clamp be big enough to hold 1.5" fittings?

Hi there,
The 2” clamps will not work with 1.5” fittings. Since the OD of each fitting is a different size you would need to custom fit, or measure each fitting to know for sure. The SMC Clamps for PVC are designed to clamp onto the pipe and not fittings unfortunately.

How thick is the base on the 3/4" clamp? My tubing is about 3/4" off the wall and I am wondering if these will work for me.

Hi Ryan,
The ¾” Surface Mounting Clamp will hold the pipe about ½” away from the surface it is mounted to. If you need a little extra distance you can put a ¼” spacer between the clamp and the wall it is mounted to. We had to do that exact same thing on the BRS160 tank for the plumbing, and we just used a ¼” thick piece of plastic (acrylic) cut to the size of the clamp.
