Product Questions

Does this replacement pump fit 3152 as-well as the listed 3155?
When I look at the dimensions for the pumps under 3155 and 3152 I see a different pump size.
If not, is there a replacement pump available for 3152?
Question by: James Bratby on Nov 27, 2023, 6:11 AM
Yes, that pump can be used with either the 3152 system or the 3155.

what is the diameter of the base? I want to use the Advanced Acrylics RESERVOIR NARROW FIT VERSION REF#: ATO111 ATO which is 4" wide (4'x20"x20" - 6.75 Gal)
Question by: Brian Lightfoot on Sep 6, 2020, 2:32 PM
Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out to us! The base is 1 7/8" in diameter.

Please let me know if you need anything further and take care!

Hello, does this pump also work with the osmolator nano? Had a pump fail and was wondering if his would work as a replacement or if I need to look elsewhere. Thank you!
Question by: David on Dec 29, 2017, 5:30 AM
Thanks for reaching out to BRS!

This replacement metering pump is compatible with both Tunze Osmolator ATOs. Have a great day!
Answer by: Josh Cuta on Jan 2, 2018, 1:59 PM
Does this include the black tubing that comes with the Osmolator Nano 3152 Auto Top Off - Tunze? If not, could you help me find a replacement on the BRS site? Thanks!

Question by: Sean on May 13, 2017, 4:05 AM
Hey there,
I'm afraid that this is the pump only. The tubing supplied is a special, extra thick tubing that Tunze only provides in the ATO units. It does have a standard OD of 1/4" though, and we do carry a number of other 1/4" OD tubing options that would be compatible, such as the DOS tubing and 3/16" ID air line tubing.

Can I use this pump with the Neptune 1Link module + accessory cable (as an alternative to the Neptune PMUP device)? I'm building an auto-water-change system for a Nuvo 30L; planned duty cycle will be about 3 gallons weekly. I own the Tunze Osmolator--love it!
Question by: Jon on Mar 27, 2017, 8:53 AM
Hey there,
The Tunze devices are great! I'm afraid in this case the Tunze pump is specifically meant to work with the 9v power supply on the osmolators, and the accessory cable and 1link and PMUP type accessories are designed to run at 24v.

Regards,

What is the actual diameter of the pump base?

I have this unit installed in a 7 gallon reservoir under my Red Sea 250 Tank set up. Occasionally it loses prime and struggles to regain it, especially when the reservoir is below 1/4 full. Do you think an inline check valve like the Ozone Resistant Kynar Check-Valve (3/16) would help?
Question by: Chuck Dortenzio on Apr 17, 2016, 5:28 PM
Great question!
A small check valve could help in addition to increasing the speed of the pump if possible. You will want to look into adjusting the pump settings to increase the dosage. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
Answer by: Connor on Apr 25, 2016, 6:18 PM
ok so i want to use this as a daily water changer coming on about 8-9 minutes a dayx4+ the head height will be about 5 ft what return pump would you recommend that would closely match this or can a separate Metering Pump for Tunze Osmolator 5000.02 be purchased with a separate power supply to achieve this

(fresh water discus setup) this unit will be set up in a sump
Question by: dan ellis on Jan 15, 2016, 2:57 AM
Hey there!
Great question, The Tunze replacement pump is only currently designed for use with the Osmolator controller. For alternative pumps we recommend looking into standard small return pumps such as the Sicce 1.5 which has a head height of 6' and could just push the water over the side of a 5' tank. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!

What is the head pressure and GPH of this pump?
Question by: Jon Kramer on Jun 17, 2015, 11:57 AM
Great question!
The Pump has a varying GPH rating depending on the head height. Its maximum head height is around 8 feet. and it has a GPH rating of up to 15 GPH.

does this also replace the pump for the tunze 5017?
Question by: Doug on Aug 17, 2014, 2:16 AM
Hi Doug,

This should work with any of Tunze's ATO systems. The 5017 is just one component of the Osmolator 3155 system so it is a direct replacement to the pump included.

Hope this helps!
Have a great day :)

How big, as in dimensions is the pump? need to configure my top off water container low so as to avoid siphon back into the container, so am ordering a low profile container with a lid, will it fit through say a six inch hole?
Question by: Jodee on Jan 27, 2014, 2:03 PM

Hey Jodie,
Its smaller then a pop can. A 6" hole will be no issue at all :-)
