Product Questions

Can this be connected with an apex controller
Question by: New User on Nov 17, 2024, 7:36 AM
Unfortunately the ReefWaves are not Apex ready.
Answer by: Grace (BRS Staff) on Nov 18, 2024, 3:22 PM
Can I get away with one of these on a refer 250 or do I really need two?
Question by: Ryan on Aug 12, 2022, 11:32 PM
Thanks for the question! This greatly depends on the type of corals you plan to keep. If you are doing softies and LPS just one may be fine, however, if you are planning a mixed reef with some SPS then we'd recommend two in order to get more random flow that the SPS will need. Let me know if we can help with anything else!

Can the external magnet be submersed as I have an AIO. If so can you tell me the magnet size?
Question by: Sherri on Jul 17, 2022, 8:08 AM
Thanks for the questions! We haven't had any pump manufacturer advertise their dry side magnets as water safe, so we'd recommend confirming directly with Red Sea first. The outer magnet is 1 1/2" X 6 3/4". Please let us know if we can help with anything else!

Will the ICECap Battery backup work with these pumps, some reef2reef articles indicate in will?
Question by: David Holbrook on Jan 24, 2022, 10:17 AM
Yes, as Maxspect makes the ReefWave for Red Sea, it is compatible.

It shows the dimensions of the powerhead but what are the dimensions of the controller? Random I know, but building a controller board and room is limited. Thanks.
Question by: Marcus Stephenson on Sep 13, 2020, 8:34 PM
