The QQ3 sits right on the rim of your aquarium, so there’s no messing around with magnets or brackets to secure the skimmer to the back of your aquarium, and the minimal footprint makes it easy to tuck in the back of your aquarium without intruding on the aquascape. The collection cup and skimmer body disassemble for easy maintenance, and a foam bubble trap is included to reduce mico-bubbles escaping into the display.

My tank rim has a lip to hold the glass cover. It is exactly one inch from the back of rim to the end of the lip. Will this product work on my tank?

The maximum lip distance for this skimmer is 5/8" so this skimmer would not work for your application.
