AquaMaxx Prism CC II LED Light Fixture - Marine

The Prism CC is everything you love about the AquaMaxx Prism light, but in a Contemporary and Compact (CC) design. At .39" thick, it is almost as thin as a mobile phone, packing a full spectrum of 58 LEDs into its aluminum housing. Building upon the success of the original Prism CC, the Prism CC II features a more finely-tuned spectrum for optimal coral and plant growth, a newly redesigned Genius bracket mount, and an upgraded smart controller which can communicate with and control additional lights, pumps, fans, and more!

Overview:

  • The Prism CC II is slightly thinner than the standard Prism, measuring a mere 0.39" thick! Its aluminum unibody design is passively cooled, so no loud cooling fans are required. The Prism CC II packs 58 LEDs into its compact frame, running with 24 watts of power.
  • Featuring 7000K color rendering and WRGB spectrums for the most vivid coloring in your plants and corals.
  • The iMOS 4.0 Smart Controller is a four button interface with an OLED digital display 4 channels with 6 customizable light intensity set points, and a 2.4G broadcaster and expansion plug to connect to and control multiple devices. There is no need to buy an additional controller to use all the features this fixture has to offer!
  • With 6 set points— dawn, sunrise, midday, sunset, dusk, and night—of customizable light intensity, you’ll be able to gradually ramp intensity up or down between points to simulate the look of a natural sunrise, sunset, and even moon light.
  • The new and improved Genius Mount Bracket assembles in just a click and now features internal cable management. With a single tank mount, the light can be rotated 360 degrees and positioned just about anywhere on the tank rim while not taking up much space.

Design:

The Prism CC II has been intelligently designed for efficiency and simplicity. CNC computer-programmed technology is used to precisely carve each piece from a single, solid block of aluminum with an accuracy of 0.1mm. This sleek and slim-profile fixture is complete with a fitted 3D HD glass, combining form and function into a modern piece that is both high performing and aesthetically pleasing.

iMOS 4.0 Smart Controller

The AquaMaxx Prism CC II`s newly upgraded external smart controller features an easy-to-read OLED display, 4 channels with 6 customizable light intensity set points, and a 2.4G broadcaster and expansion plug to connect to and control multiple devices. The controller’s Auto Mode can be programmed with 6 timer points (dawn, sunrise, midday, sunset, dusk, and night), with smooth gradient transitions between each point to simulate natural light cycles.

Create the Perfect Schedule:

With 6 set points— dawn, sunrise, midday, sunset, dusk, and night—of customizable light intensity, you’ll be able to gradually ramp intensity up or down between points to simulate the look of a natural sunrise, sunset, and even moon light.

Linkage Mode:

The Prism CC`s controller can be set as a broadcaster to directly control up to six other Prism controllers for use in multiple light setups. Its 2.4G antenna signal will cover roughly 5 square meters, although it cannot penetrate through walls.

Expansion Plug:

The Prism II smart controller also includes an expansion plug, which allows the controller to regulate the ON/OFF times for multiple 24V devices, including cooling fans, pumps, valves, skimmers, and more!

HD OLED Display:

The easy-to-read digital display shows the current time, light intensity, signal channel, and mode.

Product Questions

Would this be good enough for an IM 15 gallon cube with soft corals.

I have a 75 gallon tank that is 48"L x 18"D x 21"H. How many of these would I need? Currently no coral but will probably add anemones fairly soon. Eventually will add hammers and torches (year away).
Question by: Brent Grandidier on Nov 27, 2023, 12:28 PM
Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Since the light is just under 10" I would start with at least 3. You can always add on another depending on the coral you plan on housing in your tank. Remember the type of coral has a lot to do with your lighting requirements. Please let me know if you need anything further.

Question by: darric on Feb 25, 2023, 8:39 PM
This mount can fit rims up to 0.78" thick.
Answer by: William Reed (BRS Staff) on Mar 23, 2023, 1:26 PM
I'm starting a 12 gallon tank that's 34" long but 9" high and 8" wide. Would one of these lights be enough?
Question by: Steve on Dec 13, 2022, 4:29 PM
Hi! It would be enough but I would not recommend keep coral. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out by email or by giving us a call.
Answer by: Adam Malik (BRS Staff) on Dec 14, 2022, 6:54 PM
This light would be underpowered for the length of the aquarium. Please check out the 24-36" models of the lights below. One is for a marine aquarium and the other is for a planted aquarium.

Answer by: Rick Pucciarella (BRS Staff) on Dec 15, 2022, 3:25 PM
Will this light be sufficient for a 36x12x22 aquarium?
Question by: Janet on Jul 21, 2022, 11:10 PM
Thanks for reaching out to us! You'll need 2-3 of these lights for a tank of those dimensions and they will only be able to sustain very low light corals for the bottom half of the tank. Let us know if we can help with anything else!
Answer by: Kyle Thomas (BRS Staff) on Jul 22, 2022, 8:32 AM
how many of these for 75 gallon tank
Question by: curtis l white on Jun 16, 2022, 2:38 PM
The Prism CC Marine (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/aquamaxx-prism-cc-ii-led-light-fixture-marine.html) is less than 10" long so depending upon how long your tank is and what types of coral you have, you will need at least two fixtures.
Answer by: Scott F. (BRS Staff) on Jun 16, 2022, 2:47 PM
Would this be suitable for a 40 gallon breeder with softies or would 2 be recommended?
Question by: Beth on Mar 20, 2022, 10:43 AM
Hey Beth, thanks for the question! I would recommend two if choosing to go with these lights!
Answer by: James Johnson (BRS Staff) on Mar 23, 2022, 5:13 PM
