Does the Mastertronic REQUIRE RODI water to work properly, or could it work properly without it?

That is a good question. The Mastertronic is a stand alone testing unit that would test water from the aquarium. It does require some RO/DI water for this process. it is preferred and recommended that seawater be made with high quality RO/DI water for optimum success and reduced issues with unknown water sources. Many municipalities treat water with things that are not good for an aquarium environment and can also skew test results when used instead of purified water.
