Sponge Power enhances the growth of filter feeding species like sponges, tridacna clams and sea squirts. The increased growth helps these organisms process a larger volume of tank water and results in increased water quality. SPS corals see increased tip coloration, with enhanced purples being the most commonly noticed.

  • Increases micro-fauna biodiversity and stability
  • Enhanced growth potential of SPS corals
  • Improved polyp extension with regular use
  • Can be used with ZEOvit or by itself
  • Supports rapid regeneration in damaged or freshly fragged corals

Product Questions

Hi,

Does Sponge Power contain a little Potassium? Thank you.
Question by: Reefahholic on Nov 4, 2022, 5:34 PM
Thanks for the question! KZ is very quiet about the ingredients in their additives and has not disclosed what is in this product with anyone outside of their staff. They do have a Pohl's K-Balance for Potassium additives if you are looking to supplement this element. Let us know if we can help with anything else!
Answer by: Kyle Thomas (BRS Staff) on Nov 9, 2022, 1:20 PM
Will this introduce new sponges into my system? If not is there a product that I can dose to introduce sponges to my tank?
Question by: Ethan Carey on Feb 2, 2020, 6:40 PM
Hey there,

It will not introduce new sponges, only feed the ones you have. Sponges get in the system from spores that come in off a rock or frag plug.

Take care

Is it suggested to replace sponge power for zeofood? Can I use both or should I pick one and stick with it?
Question by: Stan on Oct 3, 2018, 6:45 PM
Hey there!

You can use both, the sponge power provides nutrition in the water column that is for clams, sponges and filter feeders. The ZeoFood is amino acids and vitamins that directly feed your corals and help them grow.

Take care!

what's the storage method?
Question by: Juan Kim on Nov 17, 2017, 1:56 AM
There aren't really any special considerations for keeping the sponge power additive. This product does not need to be kept refrigerated. Just keep the bottle tightly sealed when not in use, and you should be just fine!

Regards

Does anyone know how many ml is in 1 drop? The dropper on mine doesn't seem to work, so I was going to use a 1ml syringe to dose.
Question by: Shawn on Jan 17, 2017, 4:39 PM
Great question! Most standard eye droppers create 0.05mL drops and these droppers follow that same standard. For example, the BRS160 takes 8-drops for most of the KZ products. That calculates out to 0.4mL for each. :-)
Answer by: Randy on Jan 17, 2017, 6:15 PM
The "Suggested Dose" is "1 drop for 25 gallons". Is that once only, daily, weekly monthly, yada yada?
Question by: Radiata on Feb 1, 2014, 2:46 PM
Hi Radiata,
That suggested dose is daily :-)
