The cable has one male and one female connection end, and includes a 90 degree adapter, requiring minimal clearance around the control port. This extends your reach from light to controller or to another light by another 10 feet.

Hi There, Great question, yes, it is possible to use the K-Link extension to connect a WiFi dongle to a 360X or 500X. Kessil recommends this for situations where the lamp itself isn't getting a good signal (inside canopy, etc). You can extend up to about 20' (2 K-Link extension cables) if needed. Happy Reef Keeping.
