It's Week 40 of 52 Weeks of reefing, and there are only a dozen episodes left! This week we are taking a break making any changes to the 160 to share with you a review of some of the successes, failures, and future improvements/changes to the BRS 160. The tank is up and full of corals that really look healthy and have begun to settle in. Some of the corals we added just a few weeks ago have already started to encrust the rock work beyond the plug they were mounted on. Every time I test alkalinity the corals are consuming more indicating everything is settled in and starting the grow out process nicely. Every single build has an organic nature to it and you adapt as you go. Particularly this one as we are trying to demonstrate all kinds of different technology and methods. Along the way there have been a few things we nailed and super happy with, a few challenges and like every new tank build, just a few things we would have done differently.
