How much water flow does the Sicce Syncra SDC push?

These are both the lowest and highest pump speeds for each of the Syncra SDC pumps and you will be able to fine-tune the flow anywhere in between these flow rates using the pump controller or app.

Sicce Syncra SDC Flow Ranges

  • Sicce Syncra SDC 3.0: 260 - 800 GPH
  • Sicce Syncra SDC 6.0: 530 - 1450 GPH
  • Sicce Syncra SDC 7.0: 800 - 1900 GPH
  • Sicce Syncra SDC 9.0: 1000 - 2500 GPH

Can I use PVC with the Sicce Syncra SDC pump?

Yes, Sicce includes Slip PVC adapters with the larger pumps (6.0, 7.0, and 9.0) for direct attachment to the hard pipe. That said, we recommend using a short length (3"-4") of vinyl or silicone tubing right out of the pump, then attaching PVC thereafter with a barb x slip adapter. This short length of tubing helps to absorb vibrations and accommodate angles without putting significant pressure on the PVC connections.

The smaller Sicce 3.0 comes with stepped barb adapters designed for connection using 1/2 - 3/4" flexible tubing. So you don't get direct to PVC adapters with the 3.0 pump but you can just as easily add the PVC adapter after a short length of tubing described above.

How high can the Sicce Syncra SDC pump water - what is the maximum head pressure?

Sicce Syncra SDC Maximum Head Pressure

  • Sicce Syncra SDC 3.0: 7.5 ft
  • Sicce Syncra SDC 6.0: 11.5 ft
  • Sicce Syncra SDC 7.0: 16.5 ft
  • Sicce Syncra SDC 9.0: 23 ft

Is the Sicce app used to control the pump any good?

Yes, the app is easy to use and provides some great features. You can easily add pumps, get pump status, and control the pump flow without a fuss. You can also set up a flow schedule in which the pump goes through a series of presets or flow settings throughout the day based on a schedule you create and save into the app.

Perhaps the most useful feature is the notifications where the app can notify you if something goes wrong while you are away. The built-in thermometer can monitor your aquarium's water temperature and notify you if that temperature falls out of range. There is also a heartbeat monitor which notifies you of a power outage. Then, of course, you can also get notifications based on the status of the pump itself for something like blockage or damage.

Can you control the Sicce Syncra SDC using a Neptune Systems Apex?

Yes, you can use an Apex to connect and control your Syncra SDC pump using Apex Fusion. This adds a slew of additional control and monitoring features and keeps all of your control in a single app.
