Marine Lab Tour at Concordia University Irvine: 2000 Gallons with 50 Local Species!
https://mdshop.us/CU2_ep2
Today we'll show you inside a real working marine research lab! For fish fanatics like us, these experiences are always something special.
This is our second video with Dr. Sean Bignami of the Concordia University Irvine Marine Lab. In this installment, Sean shows Robert around the CUI Marine Lab facility which consists of a 2,000 gallon recirculating seawater system. The system includes various aquaria ranging from 50 to 400 gallons. These are home to 50 species of temperate marine organisms (mostly local) ranging from jellyfish to sharks.
We want to thank Sean and Noah at Concordia University for all their hard work and collaborating with us on these videos.
We also want to thank all of you for supporting our efforts to create fun, educational, and entertaining videos just like this. Without you, there would be no Marine Depot!
Be sure to subscribe because we'll be doing field research trips and tank builds with the CUI Marine Lab team this summer.
Until next time, take care and happy reefkeeping!
