AquaMaxx DTH-1 Dosing Tube Holder - Keep Reef Tank Dosing Tubes in Place
Dosing pumps are typically peristaltic-style pumps that deliver automated and metered doses of additives and nutritional supplements to a reef aquarium. In the evolution of a reef tank owner, owning a dosing pump is a huge step towards stability for your tank and alleviates the mundane task of dosing your aquarium manually. Point is, they are widely used and highly valuable to most successful reef tank owners.
The AquaMaxx DTH-1 Dosing Tube Holder really isn't the most glamorous device but, it does serve a necessary purpose when using a dosing pump. The holder secures small flexible tubing to your sump or aquarium. It has a magnetic mount meaning you can put it almost anywhere to keep your dosing and ATO lines organized and reduce the risk of them falling out of place. A loose dosing line can easily be bumped out of the tank or crossed with a neighboring dosing line causing further problems if the additives mix together.
The organizational aspect also just looks nicer and keeps things cleaner by distancing the ends of the tubes from the wall of your sump or aquarium so the additives don't leave residue or build-up. The included barbed and push-connect style fittings mean you can easily adapt to flexible silicone, airline, and even poly. RO tubing coming from your ATO, Kalkwasser Reactor, or Calcium Reactor.
