Today on BRStv, we have a brand new episode of our series, BRStv Investigates. In this series, we explore popular reefing theories, products, methods, and what the manuals are missing, with a focus on putting them to the test! Today we are testing the performance of a few different ATI T5 Sunpower Light Fixtures to see how they would perform for a SPS dominant reef tank. Suspending them over our 2 foot and 4 foot test tanks we graphed the PAR from the 4 and 8 bulb versions over their respective size tanks. We took a look at how they performed over various heights and the spread and light distribution they provided. In the end we did find a very nice combination of height, and bulb choices that we would recommend for a SPS dominant reef tank. If you want to see the results, make sure to watch!
