Is this pipe NSF listed?
Question by: Garrett Turner on Dec 1, 2021, 5:54 PM
Our color PVC pipe, including our black PVC pipe, is furniture grade and is not NSF listed.
Answer by: William Glenn (BRS Staff) on Dec 14, 2021, 9:08 AM
Is this furniture grade pipe or actual pressure rated PVC? I've read you are not supposed to use furniture grade since it's not for actual fluids.
Question by: Daniel Jones on Apr 4, 2018, 7:41 AM
Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out.
The PVC pipe is pressure rated Schedule 40 PVC pipe.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Have a great day!

I'm using the tube/pipe as a sleeve over 2" od round fishing rod holder. Is the ID of the 2" exactly 2" because I need a snug fit to go over my parts?
Question by: Philip on Jan 11, 2017, 6:16 PM
Great question! The ID of this pipe is 2.0145 inches. :-)
Answer by: Randy on Jan 12, 2017, 3:53 PM
Is black PVC available in 4 inch diameter sizes?
Question by: aaron willsey on May 13, 2016, 7:21 AM
Great question! Unfortunately we only stock up to 2" for our SCH40 colored PVC.
Answer by: Carter on May 17, 2016, 5:52 PM
Is the 1/2" dimension of your black schedule 40 pipe an o.d. or i.d. measurement and could you please give me both dimensions as well? Thank you so much!
Question by: Adam Falk on Apr 29, 2016, 9:01 PM
Great question! The 1/2" measurement refers to inside diameter for our Schedule 40 pipe, the outside diameter measures: 3/4"
Answer by: Carter Mueller on May 3, 2016, 2:58 PM
I am looking at the 1 1/2" black schedule pipe with no lettering on the material. Are there fittings available to match? I need two tees, two 90 deg. ells, and two straight couplers to build a sign frame with this material. Also, can I use standard white pvc to receive this frame? I need some fitting for anchorage but they do not have to be black. Is this pipe smooth with some shine to be used for an exterior 5'-0 x 6'-0 sign frame?
Question by: James Mitchell on Jan 13, 2016, 11:11 AM
Great question!
Unfortunately we do not have colored fittings available for the PVC, only the White Schedule 40 and Gray Schedule 80 fittings. All PVC pipe will have a standard Outside diameter which means the pipe can fit into all other Schedule 40 fittings rated for the same size. The Pipe is smooth with a slight shine to it. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
