Float switches and solenoids can help control the water flow from your top off solution. Solenoids can be summed up as an "electronic valve" that can shut off the flow of water with a simple electrical signal from a controller like the Tunze Water Controller. Float switches will monitor the level of water within a reservoir by with a float and a reed style contact to allow an electrical signal to either flow or not flow through the switch.
