Nyos Alkalinity+ is a high purity sodium bicarbonate powder designed to raise aquarium carbonate hardness levels safely and easily. You can either dose the Alkalinity+ powder directly into your sump, or you can premix it into a solution with aquarium water before dosing. It is recomended to measure alkalinity levels in your aquarium at least twice a week to ensure adequate levels.

Dose

Using the powder directly: 30g (0.4oz) of ALKALINITY+ added to the sump will increase the KH of a 1000L (100gal) aquarium by approximately 1°dKH (1°dKH).

Using the powder in a pre-mixed solution (recommended):Mix 160g (5.64oz) of ALKALINITY+ to 2000ml (0.53gal) of RODI water. 38ml (4.8fl oz) of this solution will increase the KH in a 100L (100gal) aquarium by approximately 1°dKH (1°dKH)*.
