Algae Scrubbers & Reactors
Algae scrubbers & algae reactors provide ideal conditions to grow algae in a controlled environment, which can help control nitrate and phosphate levels in the aquarium. Many reefers prefer using algae scrubbers or reactors because it’s a completely natural method for controlling nutrients. Most algae reactors will grow chaetomorpha (chaeto for short), while algae scrubbers rely on hair or turf algae.
