It appears that the set screw or screw that holds bracket to the tank is on the inside of the tank. Can it be switched to the outside of the tank?

Hey Jack,
The tank mounting bracket can be placed on the front or backside of the vertical bracket depending on what fits your tanks needs the best. There are two screws that you will need to remove to do so, but then simply just flip the bracket over, and screw it back together.
