Continuum Handheld Algae Scrapers are considered the gold standard of aquarium algae scrapers. They are made with high-quality materials that will last a lifetime of tank cleaning. With two different blade materials, plastic and stainless steel, you can choose the scraper that best suits your tanks needs. The blue plastic blade was created by testing different types and compounds of plastics until Continuum found a polymer that was softer than acrylic but still strong enough to scrape off stubborn coralline algae.
White Color
Over the years reefers have said that they cannot see their scraper blades when they are cleaning their tank, especially in dark corners or behind rocks. The white color of the scrapers lets you see the scraper and know where the handle is at all times. The color also helps algae and other deposits stand out, so you don't miss any spots either!
Solid Handle
One area that almost all scrapers fail is that they have a hollow handle that will allow water in and drip whenever you pull it out of your tank leaving water marks and stains. Continuum scrapers are made with solid fiberglass handles that are not hollow and are very strong. The challenge of using fiberglass handles is connecting the scraper head to the handle. Traditionally glue is used on plastic handles, but fiberglass and plastic do not like to bond together too well and Continuum puts a notch in the head and handles to solidly secure the assembly forever!
