Par Meters

PAR, short for photosynthetically active radiation, is the most common way for saltwater aquarists to measure the intensity of their reef tank lighting. The human eye is a poor judge of light, so a PAR meter is typically used as a tool to fine tune the lighting over our reef tanks. Too much or too little light and corals can suffer, so set your lighting up right the first time with a PAR meter and never have to worry about it again.
