Product Questions

Do you have info on the North American distributor? Proline seems to be out of business. Website is down and phone number does not work.

Thank you,

Mike Brown

Hey there,
They are now operating simply as Vertex Technologies, and and if you need support with their products, they can be reached with the below contact info.

Have a great day!

I just recently purchased the Vertex Alpha 200 from you. Works great but bubbles are overflowing outside of the cup. The amount of bubbles coming into the collection cup is fine (not too much water), but some of the bubbles are coming up through the holes on top of the lid and some over the side outside the cup.

Any suggestions on how to stop this?
Question by: chris on Nov 13, 2016, 11:26 AM
Hey there,
Due to manufacturing residues and initial break-in of these skimmers, it is actually very normal to have a period where the skimmer will overflow with bubbles. Vertex actually recommends running the skimmer initially with the collection cup removed and allowing the system to rinse and overflow. After a few days you can try to put the cup back on and start tuning in the skimmer, but be aware that it can take several days or even a couple of weeks to fully break in and settle down. Have a great day!

What is the best replacement or equivalent pump for this skimmer?
Question by: Roman Gardea on May 8, 2015, 12:57 AM
Great question,
The best option would be to contact Proline the North American distributor of Vertex. They will be able to recommend a replacement that will work perfectly with the Alpha 200. I have attached the contact information below.

Proline (Vertex and Korallen Zucht) – 877-682-3474 (Ext 4179) Jen@prolineaquatics.com

Hi Avril,
How much room do you have in your sump for the skimmer? That will be the biggest limiting factor as to which one you can use.

Hey Brandon,
For the Alpha 200 you would want the 200mm lid.
